Dorman control arm

Greeting,
I'm planning to replace my lower control arms with aftermarket Dorman parts.

Did any of you recommend that brand?
Have you ever replaced spare parts with this brand and what's the quality?

My car is grand cherokee 2011

Re: Dorman control arm

I've used Dorman parts in the past on my old Honda Accord, and never ran into any issues.

See if Moog makes that part. It is a better brand.

Re: Dorman control arm

Thanks for reply:

Moog price is high, closed to OEM Mopar part. While I'm looking for economy choice.

The price comparison for lower control arm:

Moog: $270
Mopar: $296
Dorman: $113

Re: Dorman control arm

There's a reason that part is less than half of the others.
I wouldn't trust my life or my family's on that one.
I would go OEM or Moog, been using Moog parts for over 40 years, never had an issue.
Just my opinion.

Dorman control arm

In my experience Moog has never let me down. They make OEM+ parts for cheaper than OEM.

I would go with Moog and not think twice.

Re: Dorman control arm

Dorman is suppose to be OE quality. Most of the product is world sourced. Moog is a problem solver product. All of the components are built better than OE so to correct OE issues that have developed along the way. There maybe more than one Moog choice.

Re: Dorman control arm

I wouldn't buy Moog parts anymore, their quality is not what it use to be. I put them equal to the doorman stuff at this point.
