to the guys who have these, do you have any type of spacer? its frightening how close the tire is to the control arm and the bolt coming down. I just worry if they make contact at a decent speed who knows what could happen

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Looks good Metz. So that's standard suspension with the RRO Level in the front? I know many have the Zeons/NTG without the spacers and some with, don't now about the Duratracs.

There are some people withiut the kit running them but in my opinion it has to be far too close for comfort. In debating putting a spacer in for extra space with the leveling mit

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

They won't rub the control arm bolt. The bolt and arm move as the suspension moves, it is a fixed object. Many people run 275/55/20 including myself with no difficulties.

Just a mini review from last night's snow. We got about 5 inches of snow so it wasn't much but I was VERY impressed with how these handled. The braking is night and day different from the stock tires. I felt more comfortable driving and never felt I was going to lose control. On my old WJ I had destination ATs and the duratracs seem better. I only drove around town so never got above 40 but I was driving through unplowed streets with ease. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Oh and a note about the road noise. These are barely louder than stock. I have not had to adjust my volume in order to tune them out or speak louder to talk to any passengers. I would say these tires are the best overall tire for comfort, noise, traction, and looks.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Hey guys..new user here.
I have the Duratracs on my wrangler and they are great in snow.
I believe the 17" fit on the GC no issues.

I am looking to swap out my wrangler later this year and looking at a 2015 GC Overland w Ecodiesel.
I've been reading lots of the WK2 posts as I find I learn more on user forums than any place else.
