Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Anyone have any other updates on snow handling? Also, any updates on tire noise? I really want to get a set of Duratrac's but want them as close to stock noise as possible. With the last few snowfalls in Minneapolis area I HATE the stock Fortera's...slipping and sliding all over the place no matter how granny-ish I drive...

On my old WJ I had destination ATs and the duratracs seem better. I only drove around town so never got above 40 but I was driving through unplowed streets with ease. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Oh and a note about the road noise. These are barely louder than stock. I have not had to adjust my volume in order to tune them out or speak louder to talk to any passengers. I would say these tires are the best overall tire for comfort, noise, traction, and looks.
Since then I have gone up north and tackled many inches of snow. They hold up great and I never feel like I am going to lose control. WAY better than the stock tires and the destinations. Even at higher speeds they seem to be very safe. And I don't even notice the noise when driving. If the noise is what is holding you back from buying, no need to worry. Order them and defeat the snow.

Good to know, especially about the noise. When my OEM Forteras wear out I'll get something like these Wranglers. Is there a site that compares and rates these tires, including noise? I'm wondering how the DuraTrac Wranglers compare to, for example, the BF Goodrich All Terrain KOs.

Well tire rack does do surveys and compares. The only problem is the Duratracs are considered commercial so they aren't in the same survey. But here are the links.

And just for reference, the Destination AT is #2 on the other list with a lot more miles reported than the #1 choice, and I think the noise is comparable to that on the duratracs. These Wk2s really do have good noise deadening.

True but they don't review the Coopers or Mastercrafts or Hankooks or Toyos.
I need tires, my LTZ Coopers are dead, and will prob go with the Mastercraft AXT. Made by Cooper, same tread pattern as AT3 but a little
Softer for better winter performance and snowflake rated.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Installing the new lift tomorrow and then the 275/55r20 DuraTracs are going on the stock 20" rims after. Question, what pressure did those running the DuraTracs find optimal for everyday driving? I can't wait to get rid of these stock Fortera's.

Whatever the stock tires ran, is what I run. Its written on the door of the Jeep. I think its suppose to be the same as stock, and the TPMS will work just fine too.

I am going through the same thing about these three tires. I have had terra grapps and cooper zeons on other trucks and SUV's. I hear so many good reviews about the GY Duratracs, I cant make up my mind, I like the look of the grapps and zeons better then GY Duratrac......I don't know what to do......

If you live in an area that sees ice skip the Cooper Zeon's.
