Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

I ordered Wrangler Duratracs in 275/55-20. They should be in and installed this week. Again, stock suspension with Quadra-Lift. No spacers, no level kit. I hope they fit and will work. If they do, I will then need to figure out a spare tire that matches the 31.9" OD. And I must get the Duratracs out on the trails!

I am MORE than interested in your results, PLEASE keep me/us posted, I'm in your exact situation only with Summit, 20", etc, etc. My stock forteras have 50k miles on them, this tire upgrade would look sweet. No lift, no level kit, no spaces, direct bolt ons....I don't care about rubbing in park (easy exit setting ride hide), I no driving on that setting....Thanks again, I look forward to your feedback. FYI TireRack quoted be $217/Tire today, how is that price?

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

So just to be crystal clear on this....I have been reading through this post, and maybe my brain got frazzled with TMI. I have a 2013 altitude. It does not have the QL system. Will the Duratrac Wrangler 275-55-20 fit w/ no rub issues? I priced at Sam's Club for $899 (installed). That seems like a decent price. Can someone confirm for me that it will work with my totally stock 2013 altitude? Thanks!

Just a little update. I have a 2011 Overland with the QL. Got about 12 inches of snow last night and driving through unplowed roads is a breeze. No rubbing except at full turn backing out of my driveway, and it isn't terrible. I would definitely buy these again. Snow driving is better than my destination A/Ts I had in my old Jeep. I paid around 1100 for all my tires so I would say around $200 a tire is a steal.

I have read elsewhere here on JG (heck, maybe earlier in this same thread but I won't look now and I'm certain of this) that others with WK2, 20", QL and no spacers having no problems and no rubbing whatsoever with these Wrangler DuraTracs in 275/55-20 tires. We shall see, I am hoping that is the case.

For sure, I will report my results here. Give me a week or so, this is a short week so they might not be installed this week.

At my local America's Tire they're quoting $230 per and I am good with that price.

BTW, if anyone else is local and wants to hit the trails at Hollister Hills with me when I have these tires on (hoping there are no problems!), let me know. It's nice to climb to the top, the Hector Heights Overlook, and enjoy the view while sipping a cold beer or warm egg nog with brandy. Or not drink, and just to be there.

OK here it is. Thanks subbie09, that is great. Can't wait! Still, I will circle back with my experience here in this thread. I am hoping I will get to say yes, my experience is the same as subbie09's.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

I was just looking up the dimensions on these and they are one of the larger 275/55/r20 tires out there at 31.9d x 11.2w, that is 0.1 D x 0.4 W larger than the gfc K02 or nitto terra grappler G2 of the same size, which I have read of occasional rubbing with. Kind of surprised to hear some guys are having success with these. Even the cooper zeon ltz is smaller at 31.91 D x 10.83 W and see a few reports of rubbing on them, there is a thread throwing the cooper's are mm'S away from the mounting arm. SNYONE HAVE PHOTOS of how close the durat3c come to sidewalls and mounting arm?

Got most of my number from tiresize.com or manufacturer sites.

I have the factory 20's and 275/55 duratracs and nothing rubs. The sidewall and the mounting bolt are very close but they both travel together so they will never touch. I will say it is less than a half inch. But I can tell you with STRONG proof that these tires fit no problem.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

I decided to go with the k02's. I am having them put on later today (275-55-20). I am non QL, so I don't anticipate any issue. I will update after the install.

Ok, that makes me feel better.. you have taken that set up offroad? Do you have ql or standard suspension?
