I have the QL. Not too much off-road, just normal dirt trails. And of course non plowed streets after a 12 inch snow storm. Zero problems. I have never rubbed except when in park mode and pulling out of my driveway while turning. And it was minimal.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com - cool site to plug in your tire sizes and compare, very accurate too. Looks like a lot of testimonials to suggest we'll be ok with a stock setup to make the duratrac change over. Good reviews on Youtube as well, but I would really like a noise comparison, some say noise is most noticeable between 30-50MPH. Hopefully it's not too bad. Curious, do anyone know the stock rim width and if there's a stock offset?

The stock 20" five spoke Overland/Altitude rim is 2x8 with a -56.4mm offset.

What did you go with for a spare tire?

Just using the stock spare. I don't think you can fit anything larger in the spare well.

I have 275/55 BFG KO2's and am using a 255/70/18 for a spare. It's ~32.1 OD vs the 31.9 OD of the KO2. Since it's narrower it fits in the spare well, just had to take out the cubbies.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Road test. 50 miles later and I'm about to enter Hollister Hills - decided to head straight for the trails. Am posting this while I still have a cell signal. The tires hum a little bit but it's barely noticeable. I doubt the wife (the boss) would even notice. The tires ride great on the road so far. I even feel like I'm sitting a little higher, but I don't know how much of that is me feeling so good about these tires. Yes they are a little taller than the 265/50 Forteras. The tires look great and A/T tires are what are meant to be in these rigs, IMO.

Hopefully the trails aren't too muddy, we had some rain a few days ago. I think I get signal at the top of Hector Heights, so hopefully I can post an update from there.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

Before leaving the tire shop I was with the tire guy as he did his clearance checks, at QL's Entry/Exit lowest height. No rubs at all. At full steering lock the tire's outer edge comes close to the black felt liner inside the front of the wheel well - maybe 1/2 inch. With mud and rocks on the tire this liner will likely get chewed up. Mine are a little bit from when I was on the trails before with the Forteras.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

I headed up to the mountains last weekend to go skiing and to try out the Duratracs in the snow. They performed exceptionally well. I would say they performed as well as the Pirelli Ice+Snow tires I had on my stock 20s but with the added benefit of being able to handle deeper snow. Good grip to get going and they stopped well on packed snow/ice. Still impressed with the tires.

I'm heading up to the mountains Saturday with my buddy who has terra grapplers on his G500. We'll see how they handle the white stuff.

Re: Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20

I'm at the top now, Hector Heights. A little mud on the trails, and the tires work great. I did not air down. I try to avoid that if I can save the time.

Here's a 360 shot: http://360.io/Th5Aq2. The strong sun made the photo stitching go wonky.

I really should install the mud flaps that arrived long ago.
