Exiting level ORII

Is there anyway to set the WK2 with ORII to automatically go to the exit height when the Jeep is put in park? Parents bought a 2013 and they are a bit older the the lower height would help them.

Re: Exiting level ORII

No, although documentation indicates that there should be a setting. So, the best answer is stay tuned.

In the mean time you or they will actually have to press a button.

Re: Exiting level ORII

There was another thread about this not long ago and the consensus was "no"...there is no way to auto-lower upon going into "park" on the transmission. I've just gotten into the habit of pushing the button after I turn into the driveway and it's lowered by the time I'm actually parked. (long driveway...)

Re: Exiting level ORII

I was thinking about wanting to be able to make it do this. However the more I thought about it I decided it may not be such a great idea. Unless they programed the system to limit it from dropping in specific instances, there is the possibility of damage. Pretty sure that I wouldn't want it to drop down if I'm off road in some rocks and put it in park to jump out and move something out of my way. I'm just learning to remember to hit the button as I turn into the driveway or the parking spot. It was probably one of those ideas sounded good and got into the manual until they really thought about all the possibilities. Remember they have to program it to the lowest common denominator.

Excellent point. Once something is in auto mode, you have to be careful of consequences.

Bingo...I've done that several times. I would never want it to auto-magically lower when I put it in park.

I agree I wanted it to auto lower in park but your right probably not a good idea I've had that lower front plastic piece on the curb many times just normal parking in the city. I've stopped lowering it when i park head in with a curb because one of these times i'm going to rip the plastic part or the bumper right off.
