LOL, mjw the above opinion is anything but humble. However, you may be right, the beefier sway links may not be needed if you drive the 5K lb WK2 like a grandma.

No, it's probably not humble but I understand the physics involved in suspensions pretty well and understand where things can be improved but always weigh the level of improvement against the cost. The point I'm trying to make is the weak link (pun intended) in the swaybar attachment link are the bushings, not the diameter of the link itself. It's highly unlikely that the forces being applied to this link are enough to cause a 3/8" or 1/2" steel link to deflect considering the majority of the force is longitudinal. There's very little, if any torsional load being placed on these parts. Of course this is theory and can only be accurately modeled in FEA with a complete suspension model that I doubt anyone here has. Without that it comes down to testing. My premise is that the stock links with high durameter bushings should perform as well as then "beefier" links as long as the durameter rating of the bushings are identical.

It's actually quite comical when you consider that you drop $270 plus the time and effort to replace these then slap on the Goodyear Forenza's . If you really want to improve the handling the first thing you need to do is scrap those tires and get something like the BFG KDW2 or the General UHP in the stock 20" size or go to 275/45x20 and the F1 GS-D3 or Advan Sports.

I don't disagree with the benefits of performance tires, but note they are circa $200 per corner and will do little to help stabilize the top heaviness of any SUV and related sway beyond sidewall stiffness.

Let's see how you feel once you get your WK2. Meanwhile, I'm basing my buy on other member's actual experience with stock and upgraded sways, and my own WK2 spirited driving on mountain hairpins. As others point out, the only potential compromise is certain trail conditions.
I'm happy to take the time to do a basic install to find out and will post photos and butt dyno results.

That is pretty expensive for what they are & how they are made.

They're in the same price range as Porsche end links that are adjustable for preload: http://www.tarett.com/items/996-997-...lnk-detail.htm

THAT'S MY POINT! I'm not questioning the performance gain, I'm just questioning the execution. I think you can get the same gain for less $$$ with a simple bushing replacement and unless you are going to make a number of other changes it's more a "feel good" mod than anything that's going to pay any real benefits on the road. For $270 I would expect adjustable heim joint links.

upsized sway links and better bushings are a proven mod on the Grand Cherokee platform...from 05+. When coupled with larger diamter sway bars...the difference will be VERY evident.

Some hefty margins if they can get people to buy in.
For me, there's not a lot of elasticity - $100 is the absolute most I'd pay for them.

No doubt but find anything on the WK2 that's the same part in the older platforms and we can talk.

LOL....I hope your joking? Id say you'd be seriously suprised. But.....thats not my point and you know what Im saying. Larger diameter sway links are a proven mod on ANY vehicle that uses them. Your preaching the wrong sermon. As far as pricing...they are his parts, he made them...he can charge what he wants. You as consumers have to decide if that price is right for YOU....not EVERYONE else. Someone else may find them to be a STEAL! Its not for you to decide!

Mike at Bwoody confirmed these are good to go for Quadra Lift rigs.

Also note Bwoody has been selling a similar set for WK's which Scottina is likely referencing. They are on sale at circa $220.

A better solution but one that I'm sure doesn't put as much money in your pockets, are replacement bushings for the stock sway bar links. At most this mod should cost $50! $270 is a joke......

This post is more or less on the money.

I've been modding muscle cars for years and the only benefit realized is replacing the bubble gum rubber in the stock bushings with harder material like poly or delrin to improve performance handling. The beefiness of the linkage means almost nothing... this mod will stiffen the suspension as opposed to the stock setup that is intended for a softer ride.

In other words, this mod affects how firm you like your ride but is not necessarily improving an inferior stock part. If this were a Mustang I would say it does improve the stock part because almost by definition if you are buying a performance car you want a firmer ride to drive faster through corners.
