Fixing a flat tire and replacing TPMS parts.

Got a flat tire yesterday. Want to get it fixed properly with a patch, so tire needs to be removed from the wheel.

Section 3 on this page http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_tpms.htm says:

"Replace the valve stem assembly and tire pressure sensor mounting screw with each tire change." On the same web page there is a "Hardware kit, mounting (includes valve stem and mounting screw)", part # 68058766AA

Do I have to do this in my case? Tire has 3,000 miles on it, so wear and tear is non-existent.

Into my "old" WK I changed for 3 times all 4 tires (every 50.000km) and never changed any parts of TPMS.
Repaired also one hole, no changing either.

This is a cheap refresh. Kinda like new valve stems.

No need to change sensors just for a plug-n-patch. You shouldn't even have to rebalance if the tire is remounted at the same position. Just mark the tire at the valve stem before dismount so as to remount at the same position.

Re: Fixing a flat tire and replacing TPMS parts.

Had it fixed. Didn't need a new sensor but had to drive for about 20 minutes until the warning went away. This matches what manual says.
