Fuuuuuuuuuuu.....

So this happened today....

What are my options here? Is this fixable? the rash isn't super deep but its definitely not something a little rubbing with the thumb is going to fix.

How much are these rims to buy from a dealer?

and if I wanted to powder coat all 4 rims black is this something that can be buffed out and smoothed out with no problems before the powder coating?

Re: Fuuuuuuuuuuu.....

Media blasting prior to PCing should take care of that if its not too deep. Or you could call one of those mobile wheel repair places and have them come out and fix it. Usually runs between 100 and 150 a wheel, which will be cheaper than getting a replacement through the dealer. Im a little foggy on the replacement cost but I wanna say more than 2 and less than 3...if that helps.

Re: Fuuuuuuuuuuu.....

It can be repaired. Look around your area for people who specialize in wheel repairs. It'll look perfect afterwards. I had a guy here do a rim on the Lexus and it looks perfect, I gave his info to a Jeeper here and he fixed rash on his WK2's 20's and he was thrilled with the results... Cost? $100 probably.

Yes, I am the other Jeeper who had my wheel repaired by a specialist recommended by SW03ES. I am very happy with the repair.

Re: Fuuuuuuuuuuu.....

I just used google, searched "wheel repair", and came up with lots of options. There might be one near you.
