Gas mileage on lifted WK2

Hey guys-

I am new to this site. Just bought a 2011 WK2 and I am wanting to lift it without losing to much mileage in the process. I will be using the Rocky Road 2.5" lift, and 275/55/20. Anybody ran something like this and what are you getting mileage wise from stock?

This is also going to throw off the speedometer, where can you get that recalibrated?

Thanks in advance!

No speedometer recalibration exists yet, maybe once the tuners crack the security codes. My 285/60/18's without a lift cost about 1-2mpg after correcting for the speedo error (3% for this size, closer to 5% for 275/55/20)

Re: Gas mileage on lifted WK2

Ok great to know! I decided not to go with the lift so today I just bought some 285/40/22 to put on there! Im really excited to see them in about a week. I went with the KMC Slide...

No need to do the 2.5 lift from RRO. Purchase their new 1.75 Front end leveling kit it's easy enough to install about 1 hour if your experienced and longer, if not, to drive it to your local shop and have someone experiened put it in for you. It'll take care of the front rake and will only affect mileage and speedometer slightly I dropped about 1/2 per gallon and only slight speedometer change with a 265x75 - 17 on my Laredo E. Remember no lift exists (yet) for the Quadra Lift System. This my 2011 with there advertised 2.5 lift that I modified slightly to obtain my desired ride height and looks with a 1.25 wheeel spacer. Good Luck

is there anyway you can send me a pic of your leveled wk2, along with the wheels that you are running? also who make the level kit you installed?

i think id rather do the level kit, for just wanting to put 265/70/17 on mine.

thanks!

Rocky Road Outfitter's makes the lift here's the link http://www.rocky-road.com/jeep-wk2-leveling-kit.html. So far as the pic's they're about 10 on my profile page. Again mine is the leveling kit that I modified the rear on but the leveling kit is the same component for the front as the leveling kit. It is an 1-3/4 strut top spacer. Good luck if you can't view my pics let me know and I'll send you one. Good luck
