You must have a lemon or a Friday car. I've had mine for four years now. It required no warranty work and since then nothing has gone wrong that I couldn't fix myself. Of course, during the warranty period, one is entitled to return to the dealer with every minor issue if one wishes but I suspect that doing so is asking for trouble. The car is likely to come back with more issues that it went in with. One must remember that the price point of the JCG is well that of below premium SUV's and dealer servicing certainly reflects that.

Not sure what you are trying to say there Bob, but I would not have thought that having the transmission + transfer case + front & rear driveshafts + transmission cooling system replaced as a result of "catastrophic failure"...( & that is the dealers terminology.........) was "returning to the dealer with every minor issue".
Basically, the transfer case disintegrated internally. I know of 2 others that have done the same & interestingly, the dealer replaced everything in a couple of days because FCA had 17 transfer cases in stock !!!!!!... draw your own conclusions on that !!!
I am certain that there is some aberration in the programming of the low range in a small number of the 8 speed Grand Cherokees. Unfortunately, these things are so full of techo wizardry that not even the tech boffins at Jeep really understand them.

I guess that's always possible. If Microsoft can't get it right, what hope is there for Chrysler.
