I had a flat up at the cottage this past weekend and had to use the crappy spare tire which is bloody useless.
Drove home Sunday night and went to the dealer Monday morning. Flat tire fixed, but I don't ever want to use the crappy spare ever again. So, I ordered a black winter rim and a matching Wrangler Silent Armor tire. Came in today, picked it up and hey it fits in the spare compartment!
The two side compartments fit in as well. I had to modify the foam jack holder to fit though. Cut here, cut there and it fit into the wheel hole.
Now if I ever get a flat agian, I'll have a real tire/wheel
Good choice... I also purchased a full size (no brand) spare. The side trays fit but the top stays up about half an inch (265-65-17). I always carry my hydraulic jack. Have saved me and my friends a couple of times now.
Love them! By far the best tire I've ever ran in my history of driving vehicles.
A huge plus with the Silent Armors is they are snow rated. They have the snowflake logo on them which means I can legally run them year around where I live.
