I have twice called the manufacturer for quick tread wear.. was super easy 30 minute call, then they direct you to an authorized shop.. shop checks to make sure it wasn't caused by something out of the ordinaire... first time they gave me 50% off a new set with dunlop, second time Bridgestone gave me 20%... that was on top of an sales or promotions the store already had going.

Generally the warranty on factory tires isn't worth the paper it's written on. Having said that the right tact with a mfg whether by phone or letter should always be given a shot. What do you have to lose? BTW the factory tires are NOT the same tire you purchase from a retailer. The are made to the mfg specs and almost never wear as well. I also have to say I was pleasantly surprised getting 40k out of the Forteras. I was very happy with them in the snow too although I'd say the Jeep played a bigger part than the tires. They're certainly not snow tires but surprised the hell outta me. I did NOT buy GY's when I replaced them though. Michelin Defender LTX's.

Good point, I might as well give it a shot. I ordered the GY Wrangler Duratracs in 275/55-20. They should come in and be installed this week. I am really looking forward to them, and I'll take them over to Hollister Hills soon after. Hopefully it'll be muddy there.

Thanks and I've posted some pics in the thread on Duratracs 275/55-20. Here is them being mounted (Duratrac wrangler 275/55/20), and I have other pictures later in that thread. OcGrand2015 I realize you are there too, this is for other readers.

I need to wash the car and then plan to post pics at all QL heights, and when I do they'll be in that thread.

I am happy with the Duratracs, and especially so since they fit my stock QL suspension without spacers.

My car is still dirty, and my Johnson is still hard. Yes I am excited.

Who did you call to get half off a new set because the stock forteras weren't wearing well? Same issue here.

Re: Goodyear Fortera HL 265/50-20: replacing at 25,000 miles

I called the manufacture direct and made a complaint and I asked if they ever do customer accommodations, they will send yes and send you to an approved shop who should do an inspection to verify it wasn't something you did and it's just rapid wear n tear.. then they should offer you 15 to 50% off.. both of mine were no warranty tires that came with cars I bought. But they still did something, if I was willing to buy tgere brand again. Dunlop was much better than what Firestone but both did something

Thank you, OcGrand2015!!!

Even though I bought my tires last week I just called Goodyear to try this. They processed it after the fact and are sending a check for $350. Awesome, thanks again!

when you call, bypass the initial choices for 1 & 2, it'll ring some more then give you other choices - select option 5 to make a warranty claim.
