Red face Got screwed!!!

So after having my wk2 for less than 72 hours I notice the Eric telling me my tire pressure is low so I put air in it, all was good or so I thought, next morning same thing! So I'm thinking a leak somewhere so I I spect my tires and plain as day a screw sticking in the center of my tire. I hope the jeep dealership her will patch it, not next to the sidewall so I don't see any issues there, also a small screw so hoping I don't need a new tire.

Re: Got screwed!!!

WK2s equipped with the 3.6L engines are well known for picking up screws and having leaky tires. That's the reason I went with the Hemi engine.

Re: Got screwed!!!

Most likely they will plug the tire rather than patch. Over the years I have had many tires plugged and they last as if nothing had been done to them. I have had screws, wires, nails, bolts and my favorite, a Master Lock key stuck through my tires. All were plugged. Most without deflating or removing tire from the vehicle.

Re: Got screwed!!!

I had the same thing on my previous WK2. They plugged it, I had no issues with it up until I traded it.

Re: Got screwed!!!

Plug & Patch is the correct method:

Thanks. Interesting, but does not address the "vulcanize" plug.

What does the engine size have to do with this? Hemi version has the exact same tires and wheels on it.
