Hankook Ventus ST RH06, Snow

Well today was the first day I got to use my new Hankooks in the snow. and I have to say I am not impressed. I was sliding around a lot at slow speed turns and breaking.. dry and wet the tires are fantastic.

But then again there could have been a lot to contribute to my experience. such as it only being a light depth of snow, probably a half an inch, possible ice underneath it.

I know there are a few other member on here who are running these tires. and I know there are also other members on here who drive around in NY/NJ area.

so for the other people who have these tires. what are your experiences so far?

for other people in NY/NJ how were the road with you?

They come in both the all season and summer variant. which I have the all season.

I am currently trying to find a set of steelie rims that will fit over the brembo's and put some nice beefy winter tires on them. but steelies in that configuration is proving to be non existent.

Re: Hankook Ventus ST RH06, Snow

I've had mine since last February. No complaints in the snow. Been driving upstate all season long in a few inches of snow. If there is ice it doesn't matter what tire you have on. Nothing will work. I did research on three tire websites and they were the best rated tire at a reasonable price. Only complaint is I hate driving in NYC uneven roads with a 295 width tire I've gotten thrown off the lane a couple of times!!! Lol lol but that has to do with the width not the tire itself
