It does lock out ECO/MDS and the second overdrive gear, which is desirable for my use cases. I don't tow long distances so gas mileage is not a concern for me.

ERS is also fun for showing off the Hemi acceleration to avoid the downshift lag when in Drive mode.
Well said.

And yes, I know what it does and it's intention thankyouverymuch.
Your statements, "I don't recommend it for highway speeds over 50+mph" and "tow haul can hold 4th for way too long and can be unpredictable at higher speeds because you never know when it plans to upshift into the proper gear (5th)" are your opinion, nothing else.

You make it sound like you are either going to (A) damage our vehicle and (B) lose control because the shifts are so unpredictable. That's quite a leap to make and one I don't agree with.

IMHO the only reason to not use it in normal operation is fuel economy. There's no safety or wear and tear issues I would be concerned with.

None of my statements were safety related, just suggestions for a better driving experience. They might have been perceived that way, but it wasn't my intention.

Don't mean to pile on, but I have to agree. I've never lost control of a vehicle because I forgot to upshift. That statement is kinda funny when I think about it.

Again, I agree, too.. you won't lose control from an upshift but from my experience, the tow/haul can hold 4th and unpredictably shift into 5th when it feels like it., making it unpredictable. If you plan on driving around town and on the highway with tow/haul on, not knowing when your vehicle plans on shifting can be irritating, nothing more..

The Internet makes it real tough to read inflection or intent. I now understand the point you are trying to make and can't argue more!
