Unfortunately no. They're still coated the same.
My co-worker has an AEV lift w/5100s on his 2015 JKU.

Re: Has anyone used the Bilstein 5100s?

in theory though, even if they do corrode / tarnish - it should not affect performance

they will just look like shit...

Re: Has anyone used the Bilstein 5100s?

You could always get them powder coated before install. I was quote $15 a shock. To me it would be well worth it, plus you could get them finished in black to get an OEM appearance. If i decide on rear Bilstein's for my Alti ill get them powder coated first.

My Bilstein's looked like they were 10 years old after one winter here in NY.

welllllllll sheittttttttt. Good thing I'm more than likely moving to California. Hopefully they survive one winter in Chicago here - super mild winter thus far.

Re: Has anyone used the Bilstein 5100s?

Lookin fwd to getting my jeep back tomorrow when I return from Vaca. 5100s front and rear installed....in addition to my RRO 2.5 Lift. Oem Rears had already failed and been replaced once , fronts started to fail and sag recently.

Fronts are set to their minimum 0.4" so I'm pushing the limits at a total of 2.9" front lift. Depending on how the rear looks I have a set of tj wrangler coil spacers I may use for an additional .5"

I don't think anyones combined these yet so I'll give a full review, pics, measurements soon.

That would probably put the driveline so out of whack...let's see it.

Youll have to completly dissasemble and recharge with nitrogen...15 bux prob wont cover all that.
