Heavy Duty Brakes

So I've been reading here that the Limiteds and Overlands come with Heavy Duty Brakes.

What parts are different between the standard brakes and the heavy duty brakes? Anyone know the specifics?

Re: Heavy Duty Brakes

I may be wrong but my understanding was that any WK2 trim with HEMI comes with HD brakes due to increased weight and any trim without HEMI comes without such brakes. If someone knows for sure feel free to correct.

Re: Heavy Duty Brakes

Laredo's dont come with HD brakes, even with the Hemi. Limited's and Overlands come with HD brakes with Hemi. You would need calipers, brackets, pads, pins and rotors are all different. You can go to this site and see most of the cost for HD brake parts. http://jeepparts.mopar.com/jeep/gran...kee-parts.html

The brakes are the main reason the Laredo is 6500lb GVW and he Limited and Overland is 6800lbs GVW
