Help, I have tire fever

Hello guys/gals,
I have almost had my wk2 for about a year now. I love the thing, I just wish that when I was buying one that I could of gotten the hemi ( I couldn’t find one that I could afford). I am a junior at Clemson University studying Chemical engineering. I have done some mods to my jeep:

Wk2:
• 2011
• 3.6L
• 4x4
• Laredo
• 65k miles
Upgrades:
Suspension:
• RRO 1.75” leveling kit
• RRO 2.50” lift kit
Tires
• 245/70r17 255/75r17
• 1.25” wheel spacers
I now have tire fever…… I want bigger lol…
The 255/75r17s are 32’s, I want to run 33’s. my options are currently:
Buy used 18” wk2 wheels and get 275/70r18 tires
Or keep 17” wheels and get 295/70r17
I got the current 32’s in January and would sell them for pretty cheap if anyone was interested.
Whats the best route to do so and how much rubbing would there be?
Also if anyone has 33’s please post your pics!!!!!!!!!

Re: Help, I have tire fever

So you have the RRO leveling and RRO lift kit together??

Same with your tires...are they 255/75 or 245/70? You listed both sizes.

Personally, I do think the 33" tires visually fill up the wheel well better than 32"s do, but with that you also compromise the functionality. You've built it to be more suitable off road, but then you won't be able to flex the suspension (lol) at all due to rubbing with the 33s going off road.

And then you have to deal with the spare tire issue, as anything over 265/70/17 (or around that width) won't fit in the spare tire area, without the lid being able to close.

And good luck getting anything over a 285/70/17 or 285/65/18 to fit max, with some fender liner and pinch weld modification.

This is user, Mush's old setup...

Tires are 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers that come in at 32.8".

The 275/70/18 size should fit. I just said that the 285/65/18 was probably max you could go with.

And why would you have the leveling kit and lift kit? The leveling kit is basically just the front portion of the RRO lift, sans the back lift...Did you already have the leveling kit and then decide to lift the back later on?

I got the leveling kit first and a couple monthsafter I got the lift... the people who put the lift on said it looked better with both on as in level wise.. with wrangler rims fit? If I can find a used set of 18s I could get the 275/70/18

Let me see if I reading this right, you have both metal spacers and a have these spacers stacked and clocked to accommodate the bolts of the one below it, and the strut below them, and it's all locked together with different sets of bolts? As long as you got a warranty that covers associated parts rock on.

Re: Help, I have tire fever

So you had no spare parts left over from either kit?

If so, I'd look into making sure you have a safely installed lift/level situation before sizing up tires.

Doesn't sound like they knew how to install this kit correctly, if they did stack them. But whatever. It's your Jeep.

Yes. Wrangler 18's will fit as long as they are 5x127 (5x5) bolt pattern.
