AT and MT tyres are fine on sand, just air down... Picture is of GC on worlds largest sand island. Towing on ssnd with MT tyres. uploadfromtaptalk1439018539404.jpg

Standard tyre (265 wide) will fit if you flip it around so the outside is facing up.

The Cooper AT/3 is a good choice. Wears well, it's quiet, and handles well on dry, wet or snow covered surfaces. I was very happy with them as a replacement tire on my old GC.
