Help with Wheel/Tire Size

Im very new to the Jeep world so Ive put on my flame suit in preparation. With that said Ive got a 13 GC V6 and am looking at lifting it with the spacer kit. I plan on sticking going with 17" wheels but am unsure on tire size and offset. I believe the max is a 33" tire with a 2.5" lift so Ive narrowed the tire size down to either

265/70/17 or
285/70/17

I would prefer the 285 but Im not sure if they will fit without any rubbing. Is anyone running this tire size? If so could you please post pics of your setup?

Thanks

Zybane's "Arctic" Diesel Build

He put 33" wheels on without lifting (didn't specify the size, and the pictures aren't showing up, he is working on fixing that), so you can probably go with the larger size if you are putting a 2.5" lift on.

Thanks for the heads up. I think Ive decided on running 265/70/18's which is 32.6" tall. Ive also narrowed it down to General Grabber AT2's. Now I need to figure out wheel offset. Its amazing how many more tire options you have with 18" wheels.
