Re: How about reliability of QL(air suspension)

I'll post something when I hear from the dealership, but the morning I took it in it wouldn't go up to level 2. Just sat there, no error messages nothing. Funny thing is that I could lower it to areo mode and then back to NRH.

Re: How about reliability of QL(air suspension)

I picked up the truck from the dealer, turns out a code for overtemp was causing the problem and wouldnt allow it to move after the code. Once the cleared the code it worked prefectly. I talked to them about the fact that it shouldn't have overheated and they agreed but after testing the system it checked out. So fluke or latent issue, I guess we will all see. But it works fine now and I ran it several times and no overheat condition. Electronics...what are you going to do?

Re: How about reliability of QL(air suspension)

guys, I am new here but thought I'd share my recent experience with Quadra Lift - mine "died" on the way home after taking delivery. I returned it to my most excellent dealer for diagnosis and repair (along with the radio/CD). Long story short - symptoms - blinking lights, but no change in height, then overheat message (if you have not been changing height constantly, this is likely an indication of a leak leading to constant running of the compressor); cause - bad valve on the tank; solution - replace valve (no issues with this), refill the tank (nitrogen sourced locally - no issues; fill tool - dealer needed to get one from Chrysler, service folks said it would take a week+ - BIG ISSUE for me on a $40k vehicle). I suggested that they contact Chrysler and request they overnight the tool or call the other area dealers for assistance. No joy until my Sales Manager spoke with the Service Manager - found a Dodge dealer with the tool and had my Jeep back to me with a new radio and fully functional suspension in 2 days. The dealer loaned me an identical twin jeep while mine was in for repair - really good move on their part.

I asked the service consultant to be sure to have the system thoroughly checked for leaks once they had restored pressure, but we'll see. Radio replacement (service dept was not going to do anything, because they turned the radio on and didn't hear the problem - Sales Manager stepped in again) fixed the intermittent static problem and also improved the iPhone 4 connectivity issues!

All in all - I love my Jeep, the ride and handling are incredible. I'll be searching the forum for suggestions on a good AT tire to replace the Latitudes with!

Cheers!
