Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

That does looks good. It depends alot on tire choice.

I got 60k out of my forteras. Put another set on. They go on sale at America's tires often.

Most likely he went with 275-55R20. That is the same size I went with in Cooper Zeons.

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

Berk - you mentioned maybe selling your 20s and going to 18s. Anymore thought on that? I've got some 18s I'd trade or I'd be interested in purchasing your 20s.

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

Yeah I'm still tossing around the idea. Knowing I had a buyer for the rims would make it easier to decide as I don't really want to sit on them for long.

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

long enough to get to discount tire to have them replaced. I only had them on for about 1k miles. They performed terribly, were soft and made the ride bouncy.

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

I love my 285/50/20 Yokohamas. So much I'm debating taking the GY's off the 2014 and putting them on the Jeep I'm trading.
They are so smooth and quiet I can't part with them lol.

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

I did 4 burnouts with the farteras and they blew out.

The Terra Grapplers changed their compound....they used to be fantastic but are only good for about 40K

Re: How long did your fortera tires last?

My Forteras started looking pretty bad at 42K miles. Just got the Nittos put on in stock size. We'll see how they work out. I wasn't overly impressed with the Goodyear's ability in the snow and sand. They always felt a bit squirrely to me. Hoping the AT Nittos are better.

The GY silent armors are under-rated. I have been very impressed. 60K of lots of freeway and quite a bit of dirt/gravel and off-road and they probably have another 25-30K left!

That's impressive. Might be my next set of tires...although it might take me 5+ years or more to wear out my Rocky Mountain ATS' 285/50s. I have put under 4500 miles on my jeep in the last 6 months.
