Re: How Low Can You Go?

Coldest I experienced in the UP of Michigan while growing up was -48F (w/out windchill). It was so cold that my Dad's 1986 Dodge Ram Power Wagon with the 4spd transmission with the granny low would move while in N with the clutch out. The only truck to start on its own that day was our 1978 Ford F250 with the 351M, we used it to start the rest of the vehicles (and a propane heater). But my Jeep hasn't seen sub zero yet.

Re: How Low Can You Go?

It will be a month or two (or three) before my Overland arrives, but this pic was last week. This is cold for NW Arkansas, and from someone who lived his entire life Orange County, CA until a few years ago, this is freaking cold!

Re: How Low Can You Go?

Moose what is the warning of inclement weather? I have not seen that message on mine even in the teens.

I haven't seen that either, but I'm thinking maybe it's a description of the Selec-terrain mode he is in, which is Snow?

I usually keep my EVIC in Vehicle Speed mode, but maybe if you select the mode from inside the EVIC you get the desciption? We'll have to wait for Marty Moose to confirm.

Re: How Low Can You Go?

^NB is correct, the "inclement weather" dash signal is triggered by snow mode in select terrain

cool to see others going low, i was looking for some artic temps from our brothers in the great white north

my shots above are from "icebox of the nation" near Fraser, Colorado. we usually compete with the dakotas, upper minnesota, upstate NY, etc for coldest place in the US about 1/4 of the days during winter. WK2 hasn't flinched and I don't have a block heater, yet.

I will be honest with you, I do not for the life of me know how people can live in Canada. Yes I know its probably beautiful or whatever, but that temperature is INSANE. Just why would anyone want to subject themselves to that? lol and this is coming from someone who lives in Chicago (not exactly amazing winters here by any means) lol.
