How much droop travel are you guys getting???

I few of us have been measuring our drrop travel from the edge of our rim to the fender measured from the center of the wheel directly up. It is very interesting to know how much wheel travel people are getting with differents shock, struts, and sway bars on or off (including stock QL or non QL).

I'm getting 13.75" on front with 20" rims and bilstein 5100s with no sway bars. On back I was getting about 13.25" with the bilstein 5100s and now that I added TJ spacers and OMEs on back I'm getting 13.75" on one side and 14" on the other.

Thanks for the info, did you measure with the oem shocks? What lift setting do you have the bilstein 5100 set to?

Thx in advance

According to what I measured I got an additional 2" of droop travel in front with the Bilstein 5100s. Which I was very impressed with although I later had issues with the Bilstein struts extending further than they were supposed to and Bilstein said they thought they may have been missing parts from the beggining although I'm pretty sure they were the right length when I got them. They are currently in the process of being returned and hopefully Bilstein will tell me more about what happened with them after their engineers get a chance to look at them. So I'm not 100% sure that I was supposed to be getting an additional 2". Which is one of the many reasons I'm interested in knowing what other people are getting. FYI when I measured stock droop I had the sway bars on which also could have affected droop travel but as long as both tires are off the ground as I believe they were, probably shouldn't effect droop travel measurements with OE struts.

On the back, according to what I measured, I only gained .25" with the Bilsteins which is the main reason I eventually put TJ spacers on back and the OME shocks which are about .5" longer at extension than the Bilsteins. With the OMEs I gained .5" on one side and .75" on the other compared to the Bilsteins. so according to what I measured one can expect to gain .75" -1.0" with the OMEs from stock.

Hopefully more will weigh in bc this is very good information to know how these after market shocks and struts affect out wheel travel and how the sway bars affect droop and articulation. If you have the time please take some measurements as I think the average from a number of people would provide the most reliable expectations.

I almost forgot. I originally had the Bilsteins set at 1.25" of lift and even after I bumped them up to 1.75" and added the RRO trim packers droop measured about the same which is one reason I think the upper control arm is about maxed out with the Bilstein 5100s or OMEs. BTW the OME struts have almost identical specs as the Bilstein 5100 struts so droop travel, I would expect, would be about the same unless maybe you have sway bars on.

Only the rear shocks are different, OME being .3" longer at compression and .5" at extension.
