Re: I Want Spacers

Ok and hope it works out for you because the spacers sure make the jeeps look good

First thing I would do is check the torque on the spacers. If ok, try rebalancing.

Re: I Want Spacers

For anybody with the spacers and the 275/55/20, how does it affect the tightest area in the wheel well?

Well, I took the Jeep in to a local shop to check the spacers and they were still torqued all the way to when first installed. So they threw the tires on the road force balacing machine, and it turns out one of my stock front tires wasn't perfectly round and was most likely the cause of vibrations. They said it failed the road force balance because of it. I just don't understand why I'd feel it now, immediately after spacer installation, and not before - during the other 4000 miles on them...

They offered to contact Goodyear for me tomorrow to check if I may be able to get refund credit towards a new set under warranty, considering they had been used so little and the imperfect tire. I obliged, as I'd much rather deal with them before trying to take it up at the dealership, if it comes to that. I'm interested to see what, if anything, Goodyear is willing to do.

I guess we'll see how it plays out.

Thanks CC, actually what I meant was does it (spacers) increase the wiggle room in any area instead the wheel well when using the larger tires.

Is there more space in any area then before the spacers?

Spacers push wheels and tires out, so yes, you will have more room. Spacers also help create more room if you go with different wheels that have a lower offset than stock.

Re: I Want Spacers

*Update*

Ended up getting 4 new GY Wrangler AT Adventures out of the deal, at no cost to replace the imperfect Forteras.

Since having them for a day or so, no more vibrations, at any speed!

No worries at all with the spacers now. BLOO is happy.

(Pics forthcoming)

^^^ This... except you can ad BORA to that list as well. They can do any thickness you want, or go with a crazy combo. Sooner or later I will build an LS powere WJ street terror and put my wire mesh 20s on it.
