Re: I Want Spacers

just read the whole thread and doesn't seem to confirm 100% one thing...Are any trimming/modification needed for the 1" spacers on 2011-2014 stock 20" wheels?

Re: I Want Spacers

On my 2014 overland with stock 20" wheels, the 1 inch spacers did not work without having to cut stock lugs. I was not going to do that so I sent them back for 1.25" bc they will work. Waiting on them to arrive UPS. I cannot confirm fitment on any other year grand cherokee.

Re: I Want Spacers

Appreciate the reply. I was looking at the site and all the spacers are listed for 2012-2015 JGC. Is there are a reason why the 2011 are not listed or not compatible ?

Re: I Want Spacers

For you guys/gals that installed the 1.25' spacers on the altitude, do you think you could get a 285/55/20 on there with no issues if you had a leveling kit. I know that the 275/55/20 will fit with no issues with no leveling kit and no spacers so I was curious. I want to get a jump on ordering my winter tires and I would certainly appreciate the extra rubber.

You'll actually have more room with spacers and 285's then without.
Skinnier tires are recommended for winter tires. The fatter the tire the more snow it needs to push out of the way. Thinner tires will cut through like a knife.

Thanks Mof,
Ill probably stay away from the spacers then. Do you have a level on your truck? Looks great just wondering if I should stick to my plans of throwing the level on or not.

No leveling kit. I prefer the rake.

Re: I Want Spacers

What is your opinion with those options and a 275/60/20??? Do you think it would work with those spacers and the leveling kit?

Re: I Want Spacers

For the guys running 1.25 spacers on 11'-13' Altitudes...where did you have the original lugs cut to fit the spacers?
I have called 4 tire/repair shops and no one wants to tackle this. Do I need to call a 4x4 shop?
I really don't want to have to go 1.5, as I already have the 1.25 and I want to keep the factory wheels.
I'm in the Denver/Summit County area if anyone has a recommendation.

Re: I Want Spacers

What kind of socket is used to install the adapter to the hub? My sockets are too fat to fit.
