I know that the 275/55/20 will fit with no issues with no leveling kit and no spacers so I was curious. I want to get a jump on ordering my winter tires and I would certainly appreciate the extra rubber.
You'll actually have more room with spacers and 285's then without.
Skinnier tires are recommended for winter tires. The fatter the tire the more snow it needs to push out of the way. Thinner tires will cut through like a knife.
