Why would you say that? Are you saying putting srt links on are waste of money and provide no benefit? Just curious.

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

OK, I, too, was going to install a Hellwig bar on my '15GC, with the ORAII, but at the time, nobody had one in stock. The cold weather was approaching, and I wanted to get it done, so I wound up installing an SRT bar instead, because I could get one within a couple of days.

Long story short, it definitely made my Jeep feel more solidly planted.

Having said that, even though the SRT bar is claimed to be 1" in diameter, it isn't. I measured mine, and it came in at 0.985". Whether or not that additional 0.015" would make a huge difference in torsional stiffness, I don't know. I'd like to know if the Hellwig bar is indeed a true 1" in OD. (the OE bar is 0.915" in OD)

With respect to endlinks, according to my research, the only difference between the standard and SRT links, is that the SRT links are shorter. This is because the ride height of the SRT is substantially lower.

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

Thanks for posting your results! I have the same bar, also purchased from the same place. It's been sitting in my garage for a month so this helps motivate me to get off my a$$ and throw it on. For those wondering, the Hellwig rear is the same ~1" diameter as the SRT rear and both are solid, but it comes with poly bushings vs. rubber on the Mopar bar, so that alone should provide a better result. Plus it's a little cheaper to boot. SRT is the only option for the front though so I figured I'd see how the ride felt with the rear first and then decide whether to do the front sway or not.

Yes. They are shorter and unless your lowering your Jeep, are doing nothing to help you.
Even the so called performance end links being sold are not doing you any good. Upgrading the sway bars themselves are going to make it handle better no question.

Thanks just finding out that they are shorter. I may just do hellwig for now and keep the stock links for now.

The September 2015 issue of Trailer Like does a review on the Hellwig swaybar. The review is on a 4x2 Grand Cherokee.

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

Sounds like a solid upgrade. In the last pic, is that the exhaust setup for the diesels?

Doesn't the diesel come with the same sway bar as the SRT (and Durango)? If so they're still claiming the Hellwig is an upgrade.

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

Does the difference in bushings (poly vs rubber) equate to more noise or squeaks than stock?

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

I would upgrade to some BWoody SRT end links much more solid than the stock ones, same length just did mine. You upgraded the sway bar so why not upgrade the links. Poly is way superior to rubber.
