Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

So like the title says had the Hellwig rear sway installed today, took about 20 minutes for the guy at the garage to get the old one off and new one on. I didn't know what to expect since there doesn't seem to be a lot of people who have done this or at least haven't talked about it but the Jeep definitely feels more planted now and there's a noticeable difference in body lean on turns. The bar is a little thicker but feels more substantial then the OEM one and came with new bushings and brackets. There's not a ton you can do to the QL suspension but if your looking to make the vehicle feel more planted and take some body roll out I would recommend looking into this.

OEM

New

I was looking at that same sway bar, pretty much the only option I found. Wanted to see if they made a beefier front sway bar. Have you found one?

havent seen anything about a front sway, i guess you could try and swap in one from the SRT which is probably beefed up a bit.

I didn't measure but you can tell just by looking at them that the Hellwig is thicker and yes it came with polyurethane bushings, new metal brackets and a tube of lubricant

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

According to the couple of sites I just looked at its 1" diameter but not sure how much thicker that is from the OEM GC one and while I'm sure it will fit the SRT I'm not sure there would be much benefit since SRT's already come with upgraded sways from the factory

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

Picked it up from these guys

Hellwig Sway Bar, Free Shipping on Front & Rear Hellwig Anti-Sway Bars

They have a 15% sale so it was in the $160 range with free (slow) shipping

Re: Installed new Hellwig rear sway today

Eastern did you upgrade the endlinks or stay with stock? Curious how much difference srt links are compared to stock? I have Bwoody on my WK and they work great so far but I don't know what I want to use on my altitude.

Stock end links, switching to the SRT ones couldn't hurt though
