Intermittent Cruise control after larger tires.....

I searched but couldn't find anything that helped, so please let me know if you've experienced similar issues. Last week, I installed 275/55r20 BFG KO2 on 20x9 Spider Monkey reps. I also built new links for the QudraLift sensors. Sits great, no rubbing so far, looks sick as hell. Here's the issue: the cruise control now only works if I set it above 70, which with the tire induced speedo error, is more like 73-74. This is an issue when running on <70mph roadways. It will set below, but as soon as a grade change or bump(very strange), it cancels. I've had lifted trucks and SUVs for 15 years and never had something like this occur. Anyone else experience this issue?????

Also noted, I'm down about 1mpg in city driving, but lost 6-8mpg on the highway. That's also out of the realm of normalcy for such a small change in OD. What are you guys seeing MPG wise with the larger tires????

That's a huge drop in highway fuel economy/ mileage. Are you sure everything else in mechanically sound with the car?

Where are you height wise? Could it be that after you lowered your Jeep, and at highway speeds in ECO mode (lower than before) there is more vibration that gets registered as knock and kicks you out of Cruise Control? And/or if you have Active Cruise Control, your beam now hits the pavement and cancels out ACC ?

A number of us that have ACC have had their sensors re-aligned to cure various problems with the active cruise control.

The vehicle has 18k miles and is in great mechanical condition. I do not use ACC or FCW. I made the links to LIFT, not lower in order to level the front. In NRH, it is up .75"/.25" over stock. This has affected the front end toe-in some. There is no discernible vibration.

You say it cancels when you go over bumps? Check the brake pedal for play maybe it's loose and canceling it on you

Double checked that while on the trip over the weekend. No discernible play in the pedal, and the brake light switch is making good contact.

The strange part is that it stays set above 70 on the speedometer. It only cancels out below that.

It would appear that I am the odd man out with this issue. No one with oversized tires is having this issue?
