Re: Jeep 4x4 question

Wow. Thank you all for the input. Is the Limited a Quatra-trac I or II? What's the difference?

Re: Jeep 4x4 question

I believe only QTII has the terrain selection knob - correct me if I'm wrong - so look for that. One of the buttons is 4low, which is the diff between QTI and QTII.

We were only pointing out that in the context of this specific thread and forum area, our responses were correct for the JGC. Otherwise, the OP would remain confused. Yes, other Jeep models have differences in drivetrains...you are correct about that. No "unfriendliness" was intended and your participation is appreciated!

For the Limited, QuadraTrac II is standard. It provides both 4-Lo and some pre-set selections (SelectTerrain) for different driving conditions in addition to automatic sensing of needs.

Can someone please help me see the truth?
LOL!
You actually believed what some sales person told you?
I get a good laugh every time I look around at new cars while my GC is in for service (which isn't very often) and some sales dweeb comes up to me and starts in on their sales pitch. I'll usually toss some very technical question at them (which I already know the answer to) just to see what kind of BS they come up with.

I've done this with my last 3 vehicles (Ford, Subaru, and now Jeep).
Makes visits to the dealership fun.
