Exclamation Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test

Hello Jeepers:

Looking at the internet I found this video about the Grand Cherokee maneuver test.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test, Again

Any comments of owners on this? What is your experience?
Was this problem tackled and fully solved by Jeep?

Regards,
Eaglemis

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test

I handed the keys of my Overland to a buddy of mine and he pushed it just as hard as they did in a parking lot in Auto mode and it didn't exhibit any of those behaviors.

Is it just me or is there an aweful lot of trolling behavior lately in the jeep garage forums...

If this is old news and proven wrong. Where can we find the evidence??

Or Quadra drive or quadra trac makes the difference?

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test

this topic was beaten like a dead horse last year. A german company used scientific methods and approved methods and could NOT repeat these amatuers tests.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test

I have had my 2012 Overland 4x4 with hemi and air suspension on 3 wheels on a curve in town where I changed lanes. I don't push it that hard anymore.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Fails Evasive Maneuver Test

The WK2 does have a soft suspension that would hurt it in a high speed test like that. I would love to see them use a magnetic ride system like GM has, soft ride for off road and firm for road use.

You can clearly see the speed difference between the 3 cars.
Among other variables that are not consistent with the 3 vehicles.

Simple... EuroNcap has the actual scientific method. Any Human can defeat the system if they try hard enough.

Even those guys couldn't duplicate the same wheel lift after the fact, so I guess they were lucky they caught it on video.

Here is the actual Standard and the Pass:

Also if you are going to bring up the tire issue, don't bother, we don't use the continentals here.
