Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

They do have a differant offset but also are a 1/2" narrower.

Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

OP, you are right, this should be the standard for all 4x4.

Still happy with your mods? I'm considering a similar setup and just want to get some feedback from folks who have already made the commitment. How's the leveling kit? Any alignment problems so far? Thanks a lot!!

Looks great, fljeepleo. I have a Summit and was looking into that same wheel/tire combo. I think I might be out of luck because the leveling kit won't work with air suspension. Do you think it would work without it? Any other options?

Thanks,

Robert

Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

I have a couple questions...

I see a guy selling a set round here for $500. I have a 14 Summit with the air system.

I want these for off road applications only, I'm wanting to pull the 20's off and put these on with the ability to monitor the tire pressure in the cluster. Summit Racing has the 2013 TMPS sensors for 50ish each and I'm curious if this gonna work the way I want it to. Not sure if the system just looks for a frequency in range or if its a paring type of situation.

Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

Not sure about the 2014, but my 2011 paired right up with a set of 4 Jeep TMPS I bought off ebay. Biggest thing I see it to make sure you get the correct frequency transmitters. Was taking my Jeep a few min to register the different tires when I swapped back and forth, but otherwise smooth sailing.

Also, the Rubi wheels and tires bolted right up, with no rubbing, even offroad at full lock. Though that was with the standard suspension. I now have the RRO 2.5" lift, but keep thinking how nice it would be to have the QL, though you'd have to lock out the lowered suspension settings somehow (highway and parking).

I just love the look of your ride. I'm praying for the day that someone posts about how these fit over the HEMIs HD brakes.

They're a bit wider than the 255's but I don't think that would be enough to cause a problem mounting them on the rubicon wheels. Maybe the speedometer would be slightly off?

OP, how much is your speedometer off?

Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

I just wanted to mention that I just picked up my 2012 Jeep GC Laredo from the mechanic. I had the RRO front leveling kit installed. I also had the Rubicon wheels installed with General Grabber AT2 Studdable 265/70R17 115S OWL tires. No spacers, no rubbing, no problems (although the tires are a bit noisy)!

My mechanic said that the installation of the RRO spacers was a royal pain in the ass on the driver's side, and not too bad on the passenger's side. I only got to look at the results tonight in the dark, but from what I can tell the Jeep looks pretty bad ass now. I will get some pictures posted up soon.

I just wanted to thank you guys for doing the research and leg work to make it possible for me to be able to get this done to my Jeep. Next step is to get an alignment done, which is absolutely necessary with these modifications.

Re: Jeep grand cherokee rubicon

Is this true??
2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X came with 18 inch tires (P265/60R18) and wheels and you cannot down size to 17" wheels as they will not clear your brakes. Sorry for the bad news

I had mine aligned after the leveling kit, and now it's out of alignment again after a few months an less than 3000 miles. I'm not happy, but I don't think it's got anything to do with the leveling kit. I think my dealer is retarded...for more reasons than one. City Auto Park Burlington NJ
