JK 18" wheels

Since it seems like noone has seen a WK2 with AEV wheels on it yet, what about JK 18" Sahara wheels? Do the fit? Do they need spacers? I know I've heard of at least one person with them but cannot find the thread and I don't know if he had any issues or spacers needed.

Any info and pics are greatly appreciated.

If you don't have HD brakes then they fit without issue. I have them with some 255/70R18s with spring suspension and I have never had an issue. I also think they add a nice touch as they make the wk2 look more jeepy.

Re: JK 18" wheels

Sweet, Do you mind posting some pics? I found 1 Pic last night of JayB's WK2 and a few pics of someone elses silver WK2 with gray painted wheels.

I would really like to see the Machined finish, not the silver painted but either works.

Im hoping to be able to get a WK2 one day and i hate all the wheels that come on them except the 20s. And even at that rate if i got one with 20s id want a sweet winter setup.

I agree with you 100%, the JK 18s look ALOT Beefier.

So yours saying if they have teh HD brakes they wont fit? What are HD brakes standard on HEMI models or a specific package? Do you know if they will fit with spacers? I had to use 1/8" spacers when i had 17" moabs on my WK. I dont mind if its just a matter of a thin spacer. Do you know if its just the fronts that dont fit with HD brakes or all 4?

THANKS!!!

Re: JK 18" wheels

Here's my obligitory driveway pic with the Sahara 18's. The HD brakes are standard with the hemi although I'm not exactly sure what the issues are between those and the sahara's, I have just heard that they are not compatible. I'm assuming that it has to do with the clearance between the caliper and the spokes which in that case a wheel spacer should resolve the issue but again it's just speculation.

Re: JK 18" wheels

Hey, thanks for the pics. any chance i could get some side close up of the face of the wheel and tire, a 1/4 shot of the tread an front of wheel/tire? like this but from the top down?

Reason i ask is im hoping to get the nitto crossteks in the spring and im a pic whore. How do you like the crossteks so far? ive heard nothing but great things about them.

Here are pics of the face, shoulder, and tread. I was weary of them at first since they are a new model but NTB had a buy 2 get 2 free deal so I figured what the hell. They are excellent on both dry and wet pavement. I spent about a week in northern MI this winter and never once noticed any loss of traction in the snow. I have done some lite off roading with them and noticed that the treads do a pretty good job of self cleaning. Overall I have been very impressed.

Re: JK 18" wheels

YOU ARE THE MAN! those are exactly what i wanted.

I actually went in to NTB the other day and asked about these. Im looking at $817 installed for 255/65/17. They said the only reason that NTB and their subsidiaries(Big O tires, Tire Kingdom, Merchants tire) are the only sellers is they bought the rights to sell the crosstek tires for the first few years they are sold. he said in a year or two other Nitto dealers will be selling the crosstek as well.

I told them i do 75% street/highway driving and 25% dirt roads and trail/muddier driving on weekends etc and they said these would be much better suited then the Terra Grappler AT (especially since those dont have a mileage warranty).

What size are those? 255/70/18 or 265/60/18 or 265/65/18?

Re: JK 18" wheels

Was there any issue with the TPMS with these rims? I am looking to get these for my Laredo also.
