JK Sahara wheels on WK2

What is the compatibility of 2010 JK Wrangler Sahara 18" wheels fitting on a 2011 WK2? Looking for a set of "offroad wheels" for my trip to Colorado this summer. Not wanting to take the 20" wheels on the rocky mountain roads.

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

Might work with wheel spacers but the offset isn't even close.

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

Actually the offset is pretty close, 45mm for the sahara wheels, 56mm for the wk2. So the sahara wheels are moved outboard 11mm. Should work with 32" or smaller tires.

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

Just did this Saturday! Scored some 18" JK Sahara wheels for a sweet deal on craigslist! Thanks Jeff if you are on here!

So, stock WK2 18" wheels are 56mm offset JK wheels are 45mm offset. These wheels do fit! They barely clear the calipers though. I don't have a detail pic of that, but can post if someone wants.
I really like the polished aluminum finish versus the painted 18" wheel w/ Laredo X and ORAII.

Oh, and a bonus.... the 32" 255 70 18 matching 5th wheel does fit in the spare wheel well! (You have to take the plastic bins out though) I should have taken a pic of that too... perhaps I'll do that later and post it here.

Anyway, looks great in my opinion and now I have some actual all-terrain tires too.

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

Is yours a hemi? HD package Calipers are larger then the V6, I'd like to get a set of 18" to take off-roading.

Good point.... This is with the V6 without the HD Brakes. If the HD brakes are larger in depth these may not fit. I'm not sure what the difference is in dimensions for the HD vs. regular brakes. If someone needs me to check some dimensions I can.

That looks great, it's a nice rugged style. It's very good news that the lareger tire fits in the spare tire well too.

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

Yeah. People have been wondering if a 275 65 18 will fit (Just a wider tire width). My guess is that it will. After I burn through the stock 255 70 18 tires that are on the JK wheels I may get tires that are 275 65 18. Perhaps I should just do a quick measure to confirm...

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

So am I to guess a 17" wheel on a hemi 2011 GC is out of the question?

Re: JK Sahara wheels on WK2

I think most (if not all) the HEMIs have the HD brakes (not sure though).
A 17" wheel is out of the question if you have HD brakes.

I like it. I was trying to sell my takeoffs' from the new Sahara but maybe I'll keep them for winter!
