Just bought OEM Spider Monkeys.. Now which tires to buy?

Hey guys,

Appreciate everyone who has helped me to pull the trigger on the OEM Spider Monkeys. Unfortunately the guy lied about the tires but I couldn't pass up on the deal.. I've been reading a lot about which tires to buy in the 295/45ZR20, but most reviews aren't jeep owners. I just really cant justify spending over 2k in Pirelli Tires.. Any recommendations? Living in South Florida so only issue is rain.. Would love to buy tires with great traction in the rain and MINIMAL noise if possible. Would love to know which tires you guys would consider!

I went for 295/45/20 Nankang SP 70's.
Great on wet & dry roads and light off road.
They are noisier than the original tyres, but not bad.

Cheers Craig

The Spec X's are great but kind of mushy, Toyos are great for the price and General Grabber makesa good tire for the price as well.

Those are the 3 I'm looking at. I was leaning towards the spec X but I was nervous being a Yokohama brand. Which one is the quietest would you say?

Do you think they are noises at all? Did you run the 295/45? How are they in the rain?

295x40r20 Toyo Proxy ST2's are a good option

Are they noisy? How many miles have you put on them?

I'm still on my original run flats, only 14k km and still holding up well despite my attempts to wear them out!

Here is another thread on the replacement rubber which helped me decide what to order next;

Replacement Tires non-run flats

Thanks for the post! I think I'm leaning towards the Toyos. I just want a very quiet smooth tire haha
