havent seen this specific kinda thread, and id like to see the results.
Leveling kit guys, can you post the inches from ground to fenderlip and also center of wheel to fenderlip on your setup. Stock tires, or bigger..just specify please.
Lift kit guys, please do the same?
2012 Laredo 4x4
Im a RRO leveling kit with 275/55-20 Cooper Zeons:
Center of wheel to fenderlip = 21" Front 20.75 rear
Ground to fenderlip = 35.4" front 35.25 rear
( I just took it off jacks an hour ago, it may still be a lil up there in the front...it was dead even yesterday)
The '14s aren't any higher than previous WK2 year models.
The only reason they would be different is because of a heavier engine between the two (V6 vs V8) and/or different suspension, but that wouldn't affect the front if it's entirely OEM. Load level shocks are only in the rear, so I'm not sure what could account for such different numbers.
I'm having height envy. At 6'4" this isn't a normal feelings. It looks like the 14s measure higher. They may not be higher, may be a difference in fender.?? I'm gonna remeasure and add some spacers to the rear as well.
Now I have a 15 Altitude 4x4 and will soon be leveling. Ive already added 285/50-20s.
the difference in 265/50 & 285/50 is 0.80" so, adding these gained me 0.40" in overall height.
As measured today, I am at 34.25 front and 35.5 rear. Technically, with RRO Level I "should" go to 36front and stay at 35.5 rear.
My previous 12 hemi 4x4 laredo as I started with in this thread had 275/55-20s so those were 1.48" taller than stock meaning approx .75" taller ride.
Anyway, the 12s #s on the taller tires are...
35.4f 35.25r
All that being said, my 2015 looks to be (once leveling installed) taller than my 12 by approx .6" even though im using a shorter tire this time. the 14+s simply are a bit higher. At least Ground to Fenderlip, as I expected.

Center of wheel to fenderlip = 21" Front 20.75 rear
Ground to fenderlip = 35.4" front 35.25 rear

Alright, so now I have a 2015 Altitude 4x4
RRO 2.5 lift with 285/50-20 Terra Grapplers.
Before:
ground to fenderlip = 33.75 front 35.25 rear
After:
ground to fenderlip = 36.25 front 37.25 rear.
Another confusing result. We will see if it settles. Not sure why the .5 lift rear is actually 2" up. front seems right on. Looks sexy.
Will be going t0 275/55-20 tires tomorow and getting some miles on it and will remeasure.
Front stock struts either failing, or its settled ALOT. im starting to rub on the 33s after a month of driving. remeasured and im way lower than I was after install. Glad I have the 5100s sitting here ready for install get that front back up where it belongs.
Alludc: Are you installing the 5100s with the 2.5 RRO spacers? The 5100s start with a lift of a minimum .4 so you should be looking at 2.9 at the lowest setting. Just wondering as that seems higher than most say the WK2 can be lifted.
Yes I plan to install at lowest setting. 3“ total is doable... Most of what you see on the Aussie jeeps are 3" lifts. Ya never know... Til you try right? Worst case, pull the spacer later and raise uptto the Bilsteins
Bilstein 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable struts up front set at 1.75 inches. 2015 Altitude running factory 265 50 20 Forteras. Its sitting at 34-7/16 inches in the front and 34-9/16 inches in the back. I measured down the middle of the wheel to the very bottom of the plastic lip. Eventually planning on 275 55 20s along with a 3/4 spacer in rear and maybe a 3/8 inch trim packer up front if I'm really feeling frisky.
