Re: Lift a QL equipped WK2?

Wow those pictures are awesome. Welcome to the forum man. And I'm not too sure about the WKII's as it's my mom's truck, but 17" set of dedicated rims/tires would do you good. It would be nice in the future to see someone come out with a chip that would allow the Offroad 2 position to be enabled permanently to stuff some nice 33" tires underneath.

If you do go with a 17" rim I run Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs on my wrangler and they are great even with no tread left. My next set of tires will be BFG KM2's.

Re: Lift a QL equipped WK2?

for example: the old range rovers used an arm attached to a sensor unit that was connected with a link (like a sway bar link) to the control arm. this is how the vehicle corrected for heavy loads, etc. and would adjust the suspension until that little arm was at the proper angle again.
so we replaced the links between the unit and the control arm with a longer one. the truck would then be tricked into thinking it was too low, and thus raise itself. this was good for a couple inches of lift.
maybe the jeep has a similar system? i dont have QL on my overland (by choice, didnt wait around for it. had 4 SUVs with air suspension and hated all systems equally).

Re: Lift a QL equipped WK2?

Cool pics.

The only way I can personally see lifting a Quadra-Lift equipped Jeep even further would be spacers applied to the TOP of the spring/shock unit (it's all in one piece) but the question would be..... how would this work on the REAR.....

Re: Lift a QL equipped WK2?

In line with this question, I have a '13 GC Trailhawk - looking at 18x8.5" KMC XD series wheels, with a 265/70R18 General Grabber AT2 tire - does anyone know if that will fit on a QL vehicle? I also have a the Bushwacker Fender Flares, which supposedly give 0.5" of room for the tires.
