The problem with Quadra Drive II is that it's only available with Quadra Lift (in the US anyway). Anyone not wanting QL is forced to go with Quadra Trac II, which has open differentials, as the highest option.

ELSD was an option on just about any V8 in 2011 and you will find some laredos with it. By Jan 2011, however, ELSD was on restriction. Not that I'm bitter, but you could only get QD on the Overland with all its other bell$ and whistle$. Today ESLD is standard only on Summit V8s, otherwise you have to get the ORA II package and a V8. Dunno why Jeep makes it so hard. Perhaps they think those of us that want ELSD will pay any price.....

If you get an Overland with QD2, you also get the ELSD. It doesn't have to be a Summit or ORA2. This is at least up to 2013.
