Looking for WK2 owners on standard supension (no QL) with no mods who have upsized. Want to see their experience both on and off road postives/negatives with this size. If you have a 2014 I'm especially interested in the event something was slightly changed with space inside the wheel well.
I have had them on 2 wk2's this far. First had RRO leveling kit. No issues, and changed the ride of the vehicle for the better.
I have a 14' now without the leveling kit, will be installed this week, and again the tires have dramatically improved the ride and handling of the vehicle.
Thanks. I just ordered the RRO kit on Wednesday. It will be installed Monday.
This car needs that kit, transforms the look and doesn't negatively affect the handling.
I just installed my old taillight solutions rear fogs. I also ordered the black "Grand Cherokee","4x4" and "Jeep" emblems.
I was going to trade this car in on Monday as I felt my 2012 was a better riding vehicle. Now that I swapped the tires, I enjoy the car that much better.
I think you've really convinced me to go for the same combo. I'm trying to find the right place to do the lift. The dealer was very expensive. I also have a black 2014, but have the leveling suspension in the back that comes with the hitch. I don't think that will affect doing the front RRO level.
Possibly not speaking about the most dramatic negative effect from these bigger tires will be about 2-3 mpg difference, so you should probably take that into account. Lots of money over the course of 3 years owning the vehicle, if you do...
Definitely a negative, but if I feel better driving it, gives me additional clearance and is better off-road and snow I'll take it any day.
VPExhaust how is it on the highway? I do a fair amount of highway driving so want to make sure there isn't a big negative with the level and larger tires? thanks!
