Lowering a 2014 Summit (Road Magnet)

Hi Guys,

This is my first post but I've been lurking for a couple of months (Mostly in the SRT section). I'm torn between getting an SRT or a Summit. I don't know if I can justify and extra $300+ a month since I will use this rig to cart around my mastiff and St Bernard and don't really need the extra power.

Ive done a search but didn't really find an answer. Is it possible to remove the load leveling system (Or Bypass it) to lower the Summit? I saw one member that slammed his with road magnets and I think put in Eibach shocks and it came out beautiful, but I think his is a limited and doesn't have the air suspension. If I cant lower the Summit I will have to suck it up and pay for the SRT, just trying to figure out if you can slam the Summit with the air suspension?

Get the srt....... or get the summit, mod, and wish you would have purchased the srt. Choice is yours.

You cannot lower (or lift) any Jeep with air suspension, which includes the Summit. The only way you would be able to lower the Summit would be to get the 4x2 model, which is stupid. Also, if you are looking for a street only machine, get the SRT for sure. I have an Overland with the 5.7L HEMI and air suspension, and while it is pretty powerful and handles decently, it is not a sporty vehicle by any stretch of the imagination. Also, you will not be happy with the Summit if you really want the SRT.

The only reason you shouldn't get the SRT would be money. If you are not sure if you can afford it or you think it might be a stretch, it is because you can't really afford it and it would be a stretch. Only buy the SRT if you really have the money.

You can lower the Summit through tho wiTech or purchase adjustable height sensor links.

I prefer using the wiTech. No parts to change.

You are simply recalibrating the normal ride height.

Affording it is not the issue (Or maybe it is). I already have $1500 in car payments and a 840 RWHP Corvette in the garage. Of course Id prefer the SRT all day long over a standard, but just don't know if I can justify the extra cost. If I cant lower the Summit, then I definitely wont get it.
