Re: Lowering kits for 2011 grand cherokee?? Help please!

Hi new to the forum.
Im picking up a 2014 model next week and looking to order a spring kit asap.
Im assuming that the 2011/2012 models shsre the same suspension setup?
Is the eibach the only kit out there?

I do want to go lower than 1" /2" but I'd this is the only kit out there then it's a no Brainer.

Looking at this kit from Eibach - SKU#: E2728108540
But says its for the srt8 and 5.7L models but doesnt mention the 3.6L. Same same ?

2011, 2012, 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Coil Springs - Eibach 28108.540 - Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs
This says suits a 2012 model but the same part number on a different site
http://www.jeepgarage.org/f12/black-...20s-69526.html
says for 05+

One site says 1inch drop the other says 1.8inch drop .....
on the eibach.com website it doesnt refer to this part number but doesnt have anyhting for 2011+

Re: Lowering kits for 2011 grand cherokee?? Help please!

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I wanted to offer this suggestion:
Use the Durango R/T self leveling shocks. Same platform as Grand Cherokee, but lowered about an inch. The R/T self leveling shocks are shorter to accommodate this. It might give you another 1/2 inch of lowering versus using the GC self leveling shocks, and you get to keep the feature.

I'm hoping to pick up a Used GC or Durango soon myself.

I'm going to look into this, I like that idea, sounds cheaper and easier.

Re: Lowering kits for 2011 grand cherokee?? Help please!

Recently installed the Eibach lowering kit on a Laredo V6 #28108.540. Anyone experience a "softer" experience versus OEM. I had been running the Bilsteins with OE springs, (SRT sways and SRT 20x9 reps +34 offset) all of which felt "euro" tight and awesome. I had anticipated at least a comparable feel, with a lowered stance, but instead now introduced some jiggle on low amplitude bumps and road irregularities. Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated. It lowered according to the spec sheet posted on the thread (1.0 fr/1.8 rear). Just not what I had expected ride quality-wise.
