Mercedes suspension components

I can't help notice that the rear lower control arm are the same on the jeep as the Mercedes GL and ML. I looked at the front upper on my neighbors GL and it's a cast aluminum piece instead of stamped steel like ours. Just wondering if these parts are interchangeable. The Mercedes is known to have a smoother ride. Especially if you don't plan on going off road. Just thinking that the shocks and springs as well as some other parts could be an upgrade. Just a matter of cost I guess

Re: Mercedes suspension components

MY11+ JGC and the ML350 were based on the same platform. Therefore, there will be similarities in design and parts. Don't assume, however, that parts are interchangeable. There may be some, but it's not a sure thing.
