The high end Michelins are nice, but these are junk in my humble opinion.
Greetings,

That's what I said back in 2011.

Best for now.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

Just replaced mine. They were not terrible but definitely needed replaced before winter. I got 22000 out of mine with not many problems in the winter, Mine just didn't like to turn so I was extra careful.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

Mine are about 3/4 shot at 30,000 miles. They are smooth and quiet, but were the worst tires I've ever had for winter traction. I got an extra set of rims off ebay and put true winter tires on them.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

Same tire on the Durangos. Mine were loud from day one. Good mpg and not bad on dry pavement. Downright scary in heavy rain and worthless in snow on the heavier durango. Smzero turning stability on the dry cold snow we get here. I put Cooper Weathermaster WSC on this last winter. Great tire all winter and in a bit of spring mud. I put the michelins back on for the summer, almost had a nasty crash in a heavy rainstorm running 60 on the highway. 17k miles on them and 6/32" left. Sold them to a friend who needed tires really bad with a warning about the miserable snow and rain performance. I put the coopers back on for winter and i think i might see how long they last next summer.

Yes I'm quoting myself...
Now over 27K (about 2.5 years) and they will be recycled on 11/11/2014 for a set of Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventure w/Kevlar tires.

It was a toss-up between the Michelin LTX and the Goodyears.
The Goodyears look less "soccer mom" so I went with them.
Both are rated pretty high on TireRack, but the Goodyears score a little better in snow.

Now I just need to convince the wife that it would look better with the RRO level kit for the front end...

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

I got just over 50k on my latitudes; with regular rotations it is POSSIBLE that I could have got a little more, but those tires were bad with the hint of snow or sleet, and weren't great in the wet.

After much investigation, I went with the LTX MS2 shoes, and these transformed the WK2 in the snow.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

Mine were still okay at 30k miles, but they were bad enough in the snow when it was new. Replaced them with the LTX M/S2. Night and day difference.

My 2014 has the 20s and the Forteras. So far theyre smooth and quiet and good in the rain. We'll see in the snow.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

I have a 2012 5.7l GC received in October 2011. Two summers of driving - 34,000 (all on road) - my OEM Michelin Latitude Tour tires were essentially bald = not able to pass inspection. This summer after removing my winter tires I replaced them with a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3's which I found recommended in JG posts. Hopefully they will wear better then the Michelins.

Re: Michelin Latitude Tour

I just hit 45k with my latitudes today and they still have life left in them. I had no problems in snow, ice, and heavy rain at 35k but haven't driven in that weather since then. I'll see how they react early this winter then mybe exchange.
