Yes, but no snow yet! Took them on 260 mile trip on Mass Pike yesterday and they were smooth and quiet at highway speeds. I have 6000 miles on them. My Limited was built one year ago today. Going in for state inspection and one year service tomorrow. (15,300 miles. Delivered 2-23-11).

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2

happy birthday to your jeep! lol... or is it anniversary? Do you have the 20"s ? If so, pics of the tires mounted if possible please! curious to see how they look side profile and how this size in this tires fills out the wheel well.

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2

I have Michelin Latitude tires on my 2011 GC Laredo X. It has 3K miles on it. I have had a vibration at highway speeds since I bought the vehicle similar to what has been described on some threads here and other Forums. The problem seems to have been resolved 95% after multiple attempts at balancing the tires including road force balancing and increasing the tire pressure. However, the ride is still not as smooth as I like on the highway. Maybe this is how a GC drives; I am not sure because I have never driven a Jeep before this one. However my wife's 2008 Toyota Highlander has a smoother ride. Does anyone think switching to Michelin LTX M/S2 woud provide a smoother ride on the highway? I don't do any offroading. Or should I continue to get the tires balanced once again? Any suggestions?

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2

I don't think switching to LTX M/S 2's would have anything to do with it though you may have an out of round Latitude tire. Good luck with your detective work.

It finally snowed. Got about 6+ inches of heavy wet snow, 2 more inches expected. Schools are closed today (what wimps... back in my day...). Was driving around in storm yesterday after about 3 inches. I had no issues with the LTX M/S 2's going up hills, around corners or coming to stops. I have 6,000+ miles on them. However, I did have the optional female voice command which cannot be turned down or off in the passenger seat, so I could not test their limits.

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2

I have 12 GJ Overland V8 with the stock Latitude Tours with 12,000 mi. They seem fine for my usual highway use and trips to UT from the CO mountains. But Sept. is here and based on opinions here and elsewhere I think I'm going with LTX M/S2 also just before winter sets in. They seem to be the best compromise without going to a dedicated winter tire and the hassles of either separate rims or going to the tire store 2x year. I ran the ATX 2s on a 4-runner and was happy with them also even in winter. I think the M/S2 will be a better all around choice and probably better on packed snow/ice.

Re: Michelin LTX M/S2

That's why I got them. 14,000 miles on them now and no issues at all. It was a toss up between them and GY Silent Armor. I may try GY next time just to compare. See thread several below for recent pictures.
