Mounted the new Michelin LTX M/S2

Got the new M/S 2's mounted today. Haven't driven it much, but so far so good! Ride is very much the same as with the Lattitudes, perhaps a TINY bit more road noise, but the Lattitudes were well broken in (almost 40k mile) and the LTX is new. The tires are MUCH better looking, this tire is what the Jeep should have come with IMHO.

I'll update this thread on my thoughts. Just got it home and got the blue goop off of the white letters, going to go get it washed now.

Re: Mounted the new Michelin LTX M/S2

Sounds great. Your Latitudes made it 40k?! Mine were all at 5/32nds at 22K. I replaced them with Cooper A/T3s before winter sets in -- and couldn't be happier. The Latitudes were nearly the worst OE tires I've had. I was pleased for the first 12K or so. Last winter they started to get real scary in the snow. Michelin should have stuck with the Cross Terrain SUV. They were much better in snow.

Re: Mounted the new Michelin LTX M/S2

I drove it around some last night and my wife drove it to work this morning. Got the pressures adjusted properly (way overfilled by the tire shop as always) and noise wise I now believe they are just as quiet as the Latttudes. Quite happy!

Even new my Lattitudes were pretty scary in the snow, not a good overall tire I agree. Hopefully we get a little snow this winter so I can try the LTX's out!

...you knew it was coming. Big fan of the Michelins on the 'ol Cherokee and may switch the '14 Grand to them, but it all depends on your pics

Here are a couple pics. First one is after I cleaned the goop off the white letters but before it was washed, second one is all washed and dressed...

Don't you have some douchebags to fleece for thousands of dollars, whoops I mean "to teach how to drive yuppy sport sedans on a racetrack"?

Is there a lesson where you teach them to negotiate a slalom without their lattes spilling on their consoles? Or perhaps how to drive while looking up the lyrics to Josh Groban songs so they can sing along?

Not too shabby as a light duty snow tire either, and excellent wet traction for places like northern Calif.

Why, they not a close enough relative where it would be mandatory?
Or am I thinking of WEST Virginia?

Those look really good! White letters out, my kinda guy.
When it comes time to replace my Latitudes these are a definite possibility.
