Sure is. I just took another look at them...maybe 2 business card thickness clearance...max.
Here's a some pics of the clearance...
Kinda makes ya nervous, doesn't it?
I have custom Forgeline wheels on my Camaro, and I have about the same amount of clearance on the back wheels between the spoke and the caliper. I have driven it pretty hard and there have been no issues.
Even if the lugs did loosen enough to make the wheel tilt and the back of the spoke hit the caliper hardware...I think it would more "rub" than strike...the first few times anyway. Then I would simply self-clearance!
I look at it this way...if your wheel flexes THAT much under normal or even semi-extreme circumstances, you have some serious issues. I'll check the lug torque at least once a month and before any long drives...just in case. I have a really nice digital torque wrench and a cheapie from Harbor Freight...I might keep the cheapie in the back of the Jeep...just in case.
250 is a great find, I'm going to paint them as well, but want to leave the flat lip machined.. i think...
The guy wanted $300, but he also wanted them out of his garage and they were chipped/scratched up. I got him down to $250 for all 5. I didn't paint the one that didn't have any scratches and will put it up for sale.
Thanks for the nice words, everyone!
