My lowered GC Limited diesel 2014

Finally got around to taking some pics.
I dropped it on Srt springs and widened with 295's on spider monkeys.

Overall handling is worlds better!

Nice one! Looks great with the new mods.

But the SRT springs look almost identical in your photos to the height of the normal stock ones. I'm sure it looks different in person though.

It's a drop of a little over an inch but the springs are much firmer.

That's what I thought.

I still like it better than the normal height, that's for sure. How does the difference in handling feel, if any?

Re: My lowered GC Limited diesel 2014

They are at 37 psi now.

Mileage has dropped about 1.3 mpg on avg. But the cornering is now on par with my old x5. The ride is firmer, doesn't float. I am very happy with the improvement. Also had to replace the load leveling shocks with non load leveling ones on the back.

Well the handling news is good, but why such a drop in mpg? Aren't the 295's the same overall diameter as all the stock tires or is it the spider monkeys?

I had 265's on stock 18's before. On those I was getting about 29 mpg. Now its at around 27.8. These are wider, more rubber on the pavement...

Okay. I wasn't sure if the wider tires really did make a difference in more friction/drop in mileage, even if they were the same diameter as the smaller sizes. There was another user on here who went up to the 295's on his Summit and said the MPG was the same for him as stock, so I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the info.
