My new wheels 20x9 offset +18- Overland w/QL

So I haven't posted in some time but I have been lurking around to see what everyone was up to. I needed new tires and wanted to go bigger. I want to thank everyone on this forum that paved the way to making this really simple for me.

I have an overland w/QL so I installed the Llam's height kit that gave me the lift I needed. I went with Atturo trail blade XT 275/55 R20 and the rims are Moto metal 20x9 offset +18...

This is set to the 1.25" lift and so far I have no rubbing.

Re: My new wheels 20x9 offset +18

Looks great, thinking of doing the same combo on mine.
Can I ask....do you ever take it off road? I wonder how that offset would work taking it out on the trails.

Re: My new wheels 20x9 offset +18

Do you think the 275/55/20 would fit with no lift but on a 1.5" spacer setup? How about 285/50??

Whats this height kit you speak of? I would love to lift my Overland up a bit but read because we have the QL suspension there was no other option.

I just read about it. Looks like you cannot go into OR2 setting now that the lift is there? I guess it just tricks the system into allowing you to lift the jeep a bit higher as the normal ride mode?

I haven't tried it on trails, although I am thinking about doing some off-roading in PA this summer if I can get a group together for this: Groups | Rausch Creek Off-Road Park

Not sure if this would lend any help but we had a couple of decent snow days here in the northeast and I ran it up and through a few 2ft - 3ft snow banks with no problems.....

I think it should but would really depend upon the offset of your rim. I needed the lift because of the +18 I went with. I believe if you went with a stock rim and 275/55/20 and proper spacers it should work, according to what I have read in other posts here but I can't guarantee.

What I can say about mine is that without the lift it is slightly rubbing, with the lift on 1st setting (lifts about 1.5") there is no rubbing but not much room to spare. But again, I believe its because of my offset.

Here is one of the links that I started with to help me get to my final choice: 275-55-20 BFG T/A KO2 on stock rims

Here is a few site links:
Llams PTY LTD

I just emailed them directly and told them what kit I needed and paid using paypal. Kit showed up within a week and was a breeze to install.

The ride quality is a little more stiffer than stock but nothing that I can't live with. Also bigger tires changed the dynamics of the handling because of the height. I actually gained about 3.5 inches between the lift and the increased tire size. So I had more sway.

I compensated by swapping in the SRT sway bars and beefed up end links from blackOps...

Yes, it does trick the system into believing the new ride height, which is kind of riding around in OR1 all the time.

I have tried a bunch of different combos, where you can adjust the chip to ride close to OR2 as the standard height as well, but the ride is really stiff and a bit harsh for street/pothole at speed, it definitely would be better suited for off-road use.

I tried chip at setting 1 and switch to ORA1 at the same time and that was a bit more forgiving but after you reach a certain speed it lowered automatically to the "tricked" height.

I am not off road often, so this gives me just enough lift to stand out with exceptional functionality considering what it is doing. I am not sure how this would function in a hard off-road situation...hoping to find and try a couple of baby trails this summer to see what it can do.
