No. That isn't it. I looked at that TSB previously. It applies only to gas engines. I have a diesel. There is no heat shield on the diesel like the one in the photo. Plus, the nut in the TSB is a different color. The one I found is not silver. It's a much darker grayish brown -- much closer to black than silver.
In any event, I took my Jeep to the dealer yesterday. The techs couldn't identify the nut and couldn't replicate the creak. Of course, when I went on a road trip with them after they'd had it up on the rack and poked around for a couple of hours, I couldn't replicate it either. I guess I'll just have to wait for it to come back and try to do a better job of localizing the sound.
Picking around the forum, I read a post that had an audio recording of a creak that sounded a lot like mine and was reproducible with a low speed right turn (mine was left). Turned out to be the control arm. But that wouldn't explain the nut I found. The control arm is also secured with silver nuts.
